HOW IT ALL STARTED
A journey on how it all started for us and why Bhutan.
It all started in 2015 when Chris and Rosabelle traveled to Bhutan on a photography tour organised by Leica Singapore with a group of avid photographers whom they have never met. At that time, Bhutan was a country to be ticked-off their bucket list.
Little do they know that this trip would change their lives forever....
Make A Difference Simply By Traveling
Chris and Namgay, together with CP Lo, a friend that was part of the team that helped build the school hall for a primary school in Bhutan, set off on the last week of March for a 3 weeks journey traveling from western Bhutan to the east.
The purpose of the trip is to visit some of the rural schools identified, understand the challenges and issues and assess what assistance can MAD be of help to the schools and their students.
Upon arrival in Paro, we met up with Lyonpo Norbu Wangchuk, the Minister of Education in Bhutan for a casual dinner to share and discuss our agenda for the trip. Ideas were exchanged on how MAD can work together with the support of the Ministry to help improve the wellbeing of the schoolchildren in Bhutan.
